Radio Frequency (RF) Welding - also known as dielectric welding, is a method of bonding through the conversion of electromagnetic energy into heat. RF welding joins bipolar thermoplastic film or sheet material using heat produced by radio frequency energy. The amount of heat applied to the material is proportional to the RF power output of the generator. A pneumatic press applies pressure while pre-seal, seal, and cool time is controlled by electronic timers.
Polo Custom Products is an industry leader in RF welding techniques. The majority of our RF welding machines use the latest programmable logic controls (PLC) to ensure a strong seal every time. Some of our equipment uses load following technology to automatically adjust the machine's output when material variations would normally cause an inadequate seal or over-weld.
