Device Description

This breathing bag assembly is designed for emergency escape breathing devices used in industrial and hazardous environments. The assembly consists of sealed flexible materials engineered to securely house and protect emergency breathing equipment while maintaining durability, portability, and reliable performance in critical situations. Specialized anti-static material versions were also developed to support environments where electrostatic discharge protection is required.

Customer Situation

The customer needed to transition manufacturing of its breathing bag assemblies to a reliable production partner capable of supporting both standard and anti-static material versions of the product. One of the largest challenges involved the black anti-static material, which contained conductive carbon and created arcing issues during traditional RF sealing processes. The customer needed a manufacturing partner with the engineering expertise and production flexibility to solve the material challenge while maintaining product performance and scalability.

Solution

Polo Custom Products successfully duplicated the customer’s existing bag design and developed a manufacturing solution for the anti-static material challenge. Instead of traditional RF welding, Polo utilized impulse welding technology to eliminate arcing issues and successfully seal the conductive material. By combining engineering support, sealing expertise, and scalable U.S.-based manufacturing capabilities, Polo helped stabilize production and support continued growth of the breathing bag assembly program.
